ODD LOVE

But it got me feeling things.
I am a true believer and supporter of Love.
Love of the purest kind in its most sincere and natural form.
And I feel in order to express that sort of Love negative external “issues” need not come into play.
Where you are from, what you look like, how much money you make, your ethnicity, your tribe, your education level, your economic background…the list goes on.
Societies all over the world set all sorts of “standards” for us to aspire to that often end up influencing our perception of what “Love” is.
But I feel love is unique and personal when it is true and there is no blueprint or set formula rooted in prejudice, materialism and selfishness. It is transcendent and looks beyond and above the negative human creations of our immediate world.
Now. I am not some sickie-pooh romantic. I am grounded. I understand that you can’t just abandon practicality in totality and say “Love conquers All” (cheesecake…) because at the end of the day you hve to exist in this above mentioned immediate world with other people. You and your partner alone will not be the only ones affected by your lurrrve so it does not hurt to have some awareness and accountability where it counts.
For instance, an inter-racial couple, I feel, should recognize that if they choose to have or adopt children that they have a responsibility to raise those kids in a conscious and balanced way so that the effects of them being bi-racial or having parents from two different races does not prove unnecessarily challenging to their identities and self-esteem (we live in a twisted world people…do the work before people do work on you!)
But being aware of certain practical issues should not have to taint or be an excuse to skew your idea of Love, only enhance it. At the end of the day, Love, when it is real, is a spiritual gift from God.
Remember we are Spiritual Beings first before any other thing. And when two spirits desire unity aspects of their other forms of being are secondary.
So we should not judge, we should not hate, we should not scrutinize.
As long as the people in Love are not hurting anyone
The outward appearance and details of their union is nobody’s business.
