28 Days of YOGA

Yoga Yoga Yoga Yoga!
When I was a young girl-like age eight or so. My dad got a birthday gift from a coworker: a book on Yoga. I often would read my dad’s books, and my mum’s magazines so this one was no different. At the time I did not realize just how meaningful that book would be to me; it was the day I discovered yoga and the very first step I took towards the lifestyle that I strive to live now.
Ooohh the many possibilities.
I have been on a schpoo hiatus for a tad bit….de-toxing from prison (aka college), basking in my scorpionic cocoon yadi blah blah. But now: I am back!
On June 7th I readopted my yoga practice (applause!) I have done so through the very first exposure I ever got to yoga-my dad’s old book;
And a mighty fine book it is indeed. It is truly helping me to reacquaint myself (seriously) with yoga and restructure it into my life. Being that both my Moon and Mars are in House 6, and Virgo falls in the sixth house, it is VERY important that I live a healthy and balanced lifestyle-if not….pretty much when it rains it pours. There is no middle ground for me. Either I am a couch potato with a bucket full of gummy bears balancing on my tummy, or I am a healthy bunny-eating well and working out.
This book is truly the truth (lol). I strongly recommend it for total beginners, the older ones among us who would prefer an exercise regime that does not weigh so hard on the body and for people like me who used to practice yoga but fell off some time ago.
It slowly, gradually and strategically puts your body through a series of (uncomplicated) movements that pointedly condition, strengthen, stretch and energize the muscles and organs of your body towards a better you. You see results without feeling like you are going to die the entire time lol And what is more, you truly can actually look forward to your yoga sessions since you can structure when and where you will practice (without intrusive and intimidating onlookers), go at your own pace and perhaps (if you are like me) play some oh so soothing Japanese anime soundtracks to really get you into the Zen zone.
I feel so awesome already and I have noticed a significant improvement in my overall posture, carriage and alignment and I am only 9 days in! My body has already begun to transform and energy-wise I am feeling a lot more in control, calm and centered. I feel it, I see it, I like it! You’ll like it!
I am Zara Chiron,
The mental, emotional, spiritual and of course physical health benefits of Yoga as a practice and a lifestyle are just too many to mention but if you are like me, and you have had at least one truthful experience with Yoga-I know you have been sold!
